Kalani Brown - Baylor Women's Basketball

WHERE SHE RANKS

QUOTES

Rebecca Lobo

This is a player shooting 73 percent this year. She's got good hands, good feet, finishes inside and is another good offensive rebounder. She's part of the twin towers down in Waco with her 6-4 teammate Lauren Cox.

Rebecca Lobo ESPN analayst
Tara VanDerveer

We had no answer for (Kalani) Brown. She really pretty much had her way in there... Brown is so big and we didn't defend her the way we worked on and talked about.

Tara VanDerveer Stanford head coach
Brandon Schneider

Any time you have a player of Kalani (Brown)'s caliber in particular in the low post, it's a challenge.

Brandon Schneider Kansas head coach
Bill Fennelly

When you have that kind of length and size, it challenges you on both ends of the floor. There aren't many women's players than can impact the game at both ends of the floor like that.

Bill Fennelly Iowa State head coach
Jeff Mittie

Kalani has really improved her timing in the post. She doesn't waste a whole lot of energy in there, she's very efficient. She's really progressed. You go back to her freshman year, like a lot of centers she didn't quite understand that, but she is really understood angles better, she's really understood leverage better and really plays much harder than she did. I hope our freshman will be on that same path.

Jeff Mittie Kansas State head coach
Candi Whitaker

Kalani is in great shape, and you can choose to double team. I've seen her split double teams like butter, and you've got to pick your poison if you're going to double team. We just wanted to keep body on body and see if we could be physical with her, but she's really good and really efficient.

Candi Whitaker Former Texas Tech head coach
